【摘要】:Amajorconcernfordetentionandcorrectionaladministrativeofficialsisthereliableoperationoflocksusedintheirfacilities.Thesetestmethodsaidinassigningalevelofphysicalsecurityandperformancetolocksforswingingdoorassemblies.Thesetestmethodsevaluatetheresistanceofalocktoattacksusingbatteringdevices,pryingdevices,andfire.Thesetestmethodsalsoevaluatetheperformanceofalockundersimulatedoperatingconditions.Thesetestmethodsdonotprovideameasureoftheresistanceorperformanceofalocksubjectedtoattackbychemicalagents,ballistics,explosives,orotherextrememethodsofattack.Thesetestmethodsdonotmeasuretheresistanceorperformanceofthedevicewhensubjectedtoenvironmentalelementssuchasrain,snow,orwind-carrieddustorsand.Wheresuchelementsmaybeafactor,themanufacturershouldbeconsultedforproperapplication.Theprimarypurposeofthesetestmethodsistoapproximatethelevelsofabuseandoperatingconditionstowhichlocksaresubjectedindetentionandcorrectionalinstitutions.Thedesiredresultofthesetestmethodswillprovideameasureofassuranceofprotectiontothecorrectionalpersonnel,public,andinmates.Itisrecommendedthatthedetention/correctionalfacilityadministrationprovideadequatetraining,supervision,andpreventativemaintenanceprogramstoenabledoorassembliestofunctionasintendedthroughouttheexpectedservicelife.1.1Thesetestmethodscovertheapparatus,procedures,andacceptanceconditionsforevaluatingthenormaloperationalperformanceandtheperformancecharacteristicsunderassaultconditionsoflocksusedinswingingdoorassembliesindetentionandcorrectionalinstitutions.Thus,theygiveonlyanindicationoftheperformancecharacteristicsoflocksinactualservice.Suchvariablesasinstallationandmaintenanceconditionsarenotconsidered.1.2Itistheintentofthesetestmethodstohelpensurethatdetentionlocksperformatoraboveminimumacceptablelevelstocontrolpassagetounauthorizedorsecureareas,toconfineinmates,andtodelayandfrustrateescapeattemptsandresistvandalism.Itisrecognizedthatinordertomeettheintentofthesetestmethods,doorandframeassembliesmustbecompatiblewiththelevelofperformancerequiredbyTestMethodF1450.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
