【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversathermoplasticinsulationofpoly(vinylchloride)orthecopolymerofvinylchlorideandvinylacetate.Thisinsulationisrecommendedforuseinpowerandcontrolcircuitsattemperaturesnothigherthan75?C.Atathicknessof15mils(0.38mm),applicationislimitedtovoltageratingsbelow300V,andtodrylocations.Atathicknessof30mils,theapplicationrangeiswidenedtodryorwetapplications,andtoavoltageratingof600V.Whenevertwosetsofvaluesarepresented,indifferentunits,thevaluesinthefirstsetarethestandard,whilethoseinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Inmanyinstancestheinsulationmaterialcannotbetestedunlessithasbeenformedaroundaconductororcable.Therefore,testsaredoneoninsulatedwireorcableinthisspecificationsolelytodeterminetherelevantpropertyoftheinsulationmaterialandnottotesttheconductororcompletedcable.
