【摘要】:ThispartofBS5588providesguidance,additionaltothatintheotherpartsofBS5588.fordesigners,thebuildingconstructionteamandbuildingmanagementsonincorporatingintonewbuildings,orbuildingsthatarebeingaltered,measuresthatenabledisabledpeopletobeassistedtosafetyintheeventofafire.Itappliestoallbuildingsexceptsingle-familydwellinghouses,flatsandmaisonettesandbuildingsusedasahouseinmultipleoccupation.ThispartofBS5588isnotapplicabletobuildingspurposebuiltfordisabledpeople,includingHealthCarePremiseswhicharecoveredbyspecificguidancedocumentsissuedbyGovernmentDepartmentsandNHSEstates.NOTE1TheseareusuallyprovidedwithmeansofescapethataremorecomprehensivethanthoserecommendedinthispartofBS5588.Peoplewithlearningdifficultiesarenotcateredforinthisstandardastheyneedtobetreatednodifferentlyfromchildrenortheveryelderlywithregardstotheirneeds.NOTE2ApplicationofthisstandardtoexistingbuildingsiscoveredinAnnexA.
