【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheload-carryingcapacityoflubricatingfluidsbymeansoftheTimkenExtremePressureTester.Note1-Thistestmethodissuitablefortestingfluidshavingaviscosityoflessthanabout5000cSt(5000mm/s)at40?C.Fortestingfluidshavingahigherviscosity,refertoNote5in9.1.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Becausetheequipmentusedinthistestmethodisavailableonlyininch-poundunits,SIunitsareomittedwhenreferringtotheequipmentandthetestspecimens.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionarystatementsaregivenin7.1,7.2,8.1,8.2,9.4,and9.9.
