【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversrequirementsforhigh-strengthquenchedandtemperedalloysteelforgingsforpressurevessels,isostaticpresses,shocktubes,andsimilarcomponents.1.2Thesematerialsarenotintendedforweldedconstruction.1.3Threegradesofnickel-chromium-molybdenumsteelsandsixclassesofincreasingtensilestrengthareincluded.Thestrengthclass,sectionsize,andconfigurationoftheforgingwilllargelydictatetheapplicabletype(s)ofsteel.1.4Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSI(metric)unitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Withinthetextandtables,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.1.5Unlesstheorderspecifiestheapplicablex201C;Mx201D;specificationdesignation,thematerialshallbefurnishedtotheinch-poundunits.
